OUR TRACK RECORD

Olive Branch interiorYou know us.
We've been in business for over 25 years.

We provide very solid services. We publish catalogs, man the phones, maintain websites, process orders, ship tons of merchandise worldwide, handle returns, house millions of dollars worth of inventory, collect from our customers, pay our bills on time, etc!

And we never stop striving to improve.

Plus, when it comes to graphic novels and other pop-culture merchandise, nobody knows, or loves, the product as much as we do!

AFFORDABLE SERVICE

Diamond can distribute your graphic novels and products to bookstores affordably. We can do this now and in the long-term because we already have a well-established infrastructure in place — people, facilities, systems — to distribute graphic novels.

INVENTORY SAVINGS

By choosing Diamond to distribute your products to the book trade, you put yourself in a position to house your inventory for both comic shops and the book market in one place, thus reducing your freight and storage costs, and preventing lost sales. You also have the option of utilizing Diamond to perform wholesale fulfillment to other markets and/or consumers.

In addition, because we move product from your printer or manufacturer to our distribution centers across the country, your new releases can be affordably staged for synchronized delivery to all key accounts.

SALES

Kuo Yu LiangDiamond's sales efforts are directed by Diamond Book Distributors VP Sales & Marketing Kuo-Yu Liang, an 18-year veteran of the book trade, and carried out by Sales Managers Josh Hayes (formerly a buyer at Waldenbooks), Doug White (formerly a national accounts manager with Holtzbrink), Stuart Carter (formerly a buyer for Host and Waldenbooks), and Terry Helman (a veteran Diamond employee who works with several major customers).

Our Sales Managers visit the book chains and major wholesalers on at least a quarterly basis, and are in constant contact via phone. We represent our clients at all store managers' meetings and key presentations to corporate merchandising management. In addition, our sales team helps manage co-op dollars and place our publishers' titles into the best promotions available at all chain store.

No caption. On the independent bookstore front, our Sales Team calls directly on the top 25 stores (i.e. Powells, Tattered Cover, Joseph-Beth, etc.) and use Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Bookazine and other to service the remainder. In addition, we work with Booksense, which is headquartered in New York and represents over 1,000 independent bookstores, to coordinate marketing and merchandising.

On the library front, we have a dedicated sales manager to the market, plus produce a wonderful website, diamondbookshelf.com, to promote the educational benefits of graphic novels to librarians and educators.
