Lion Forge Debuts New Logo & KLAW Volume 2 from Young Readers Imprint
2016 was an exciting year of growth for Lion Forge with their creation of Roar and CubHouse - their teen and young readers imprints - as well as their acquisition of Magnetic Press. Lion Forge continues their growth and improves their offerings into 2017 with a diverse collection of titles for readers of all ages.
According to Scoop, senior editor for Roar and CubHouse Imprints, Andrea Colvin, states “2017 will be a big year for us, and we are so excited to begin sharing information about some of our launches and acquisitions. We’re putting together an amazing lineup of picture books for younger readers and ongoing series and original graphic novels for middle-grade readers and teens that represent diverse perspectives and that all readers will be able to see themselves reflected in.”
Starting the year off with a bang, Lion Forge revealed a new logo for their Roar imprint as well as announced the second volume of KLAW by Antoine Ozanam and Joel Jurion, continuing to invest in titles from their Magnetic Collection. KLAW follows the origin story set up in volume one, and continues with Angel Tomassini traveling the world on the run from the forces hunting him and the spirit he possesses.
Director of the Magnetic Collection, Mike Kennedy, says that the Klaw series "goes against all genre expectations, blending the supernatural with martial arts, espionage, and complex character dynamics. Antoine’s story is deliciously intricate, and Joel’s art makes it even more exciting to devour."
KLAW Volume 2 marks the first title out this spring from Lion Forge’s Roar imprint. KLAW Volume 2 will be solicited in the PREVIEWS March 2017, and is projected to have a May release.
