YALSA Announces the 2017 Great Graphic Novels List

The Young Adult Library Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association, puts together a top ten and a long-list of graphic novel titles that are appropriate for readers 12-18. The lists come out during the ALA Mid-Winter conference each year, and the 2017 lists are finally here! While the list is not an award, it serves as an excellent tool for educators, librarians, and parents to find great graphic novels that appeal to children and teens. Listed below is the Top Ten Great Graphic Novels List provided by YALSA for 2017. For the full list of nonfiction and fiction titles, click here. To see previous lists, click here. This year, Diamond Book Publishers had four titles in the top ten and twenty titles across the full fiction and non-fiction lists.
